UPB is proud to be partnering with a respected civil engineering contractor in Middlesbrough to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking business and contribute to a complex, multidisciplinary scheme that brings together several civil engineering specialisms.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in supporting the commercial success of the project. You’ll be working closely with internal teams and a range of external stakeholders, ensuring strong financial management throughout the lifecycle of the scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing valuations and variations

• Preparing accurate and timely monthly reports

• Supporting commercial decision-making across the project

• Collaborating with engineering, delivery, and stakeholder teams

Your experience

• Experience as a QS within civil engineering or infrastructure projects

• Strong understanding of commercial processes

• Ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders

• Proactive, detail-focused, and confident working on complex schemes
