UPB is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected main contractor based in Nottingham. Due to continued growth and a strong regional project pipeline, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with project teams to ensure financial performance is maximised while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing project costs and budgets

  • Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

  • Valuations, variations, and final accounts

  • Risk and cost reporting

  • Supporting project delivery teams commercially

  • Building and maintaining client relationships

Requirements

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment

  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects (ideally £10m+)

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred)

  • Driven, detail-oriented, and team-focused
