UPB are working with a specialist, regional construction contractor to hire a Senior Site Engineer, focusing on the delivery of civils & infrastructure projects in the North West. You will be overseeing activity of other Engineers in the company, checking, monitoring QA and mentoring junior Engineers.
You will focus on delivering the technical aspects of civils and groundworks projects, starting on a multi-million pound infrastructure project in Manchester. You will be working with an experienced management team who pride themselves on customer satisfaction and repeat business.
The ideal Site Engineer will be able to demonstrate experience of setting out the civils elements of construction projects, including drainage, ducting, earthworks, RC slabs, plinths & structures. You will have a proven history of both hands-on setting-out experience, as well as providing technical support and mentoring of junior Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the setting-Out of all construction elements of a project; including foundations, groundworks, slabs.
Checking work of junior/ graduate engineers
Providing mentorship, technical expertise and guidance to the project team
Oversee quality assurance systems on the project
Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being carried out to the highest quality standards.
Implement and enforce quality control measures on-site.
Collaborate with the project team to resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
CSCS
Bachelor's degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
