UPB Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to join a respected privately owned construction company in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager or Junior Project Manager looking to progress their career within the UK construction industry. You will be involved with fast-track interiors projects and work closely with one of the senior members of the team
Assistant Project Manager – Role Overview
You will support the Project Manager in delivering construction projects. Initially engaged in a specialist contractor sub-division of the group, playing a key role throughout the full project lifecycle—from pre-construction through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the delivery of construction projects on time and within budget
Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and programme management
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
Monitoring site progress and reporting to senior project management
Managing project documentation, reports, and meeting minutes
Supporting cost control, variations, and risk management
Ensuring health & safety and quality standards are maintained on site and relevant documents are appropriately stored.
About You:
Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager or in construction project management
Background in construction, engineering, or a related discipline
Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar (or working towards) preferred
Strong organisational and communication skills
Able to commute to or based in Sheffield
