UPB Recruitment is working in partnership with a growing private housing developer based in Sheffield to recruit an Assistant Project Manager. This role is ideal for someone with experience in residential construction or general construction, who is looking to develop their career within the private housing sector.
The Role:
As Assistant Project Manager, you will support the delivery of private housing and residential developments, assisting the Project Manager with day-to-day project coordination from site start through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in the delivery of private housing construction projects
Supporting programme planning, site coordination, and progress tracking
Liaising with site managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
Monitoring build progress and reporting against programme milestones
Assisting with cost control, variations, and procurement activities
Managing project documentation and supporting client reporting
Ensuring health & safety, quality, and compliance standards are met
About You:
Experience within residential or private housing construction preferred
Background in construction management, engineering, or a related field
Relevant construction qualification (or working towards one)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Proactive, detail-focused, and keen to progress within housing development
Based in or able to commute to Sheffield
