UPB Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Warrington to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who is confident running their own schemes and looking to progress their career within a growing regional contractor delivering diverse civil engineering projects across the North West.
The Role – Quantity Surveyor (Civil Engineering)
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for your own portfolio of civil engineering projects across the North West region. Projects are varied and interesting, offering exposure to multiple sectors within infrastructure and civil engineering.
You will be responsible for:
Full commercial management of schemes from pre-contract through to final account
Administration of NEC contracts (essential)
Subcontractor procurement and management
Cost reporting and forecasting
Change control and compensation events
CVR reporting
Risk and value management
Client liaison and stakeholder management
This is a role suited to a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys autonomy and is confident managing schemes independently.
Requirements – What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
Strong working knowledge of NEC form of contract (essential)
Experience running projects commercially with minimal supervision
Background in infrastructure or civil engineering schemes
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ambition to progress into Senior Quantity Surveyor level and beyond

All projects are located within the North West region, meaning minimal travel and strong regional focus.
