UPB Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Freelance Site Engineer for a project based in Pickering, North Yorkshire.

This is a strong opportunity for a skilled engineer to secure a freelance role with competitive rates and flexibility around equipment provision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for civil engineering works (roads, drainage, infrastructure)

• Ensuring work is delivered in line with specifications and drawings

• Maintaining site control and QA documentation

• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and design teams

• Conducting surveys and ensuring accuracy of site data

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering

• Strong setting-out and drawing interpretation skills

• Experience with GPS/Total Station equipment (kit beneficial)

• Valid CSCS card

• Own kit preferred (higher rate negotiable)
