Assistant Quantity Surveyor Leeds West Yorkshire

UPB are working with a reputable and growing, Privately owned construction specialist contractor to hire an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a salary position in the Leeds West Yorkshire area.  The successful candidate will be working on any number of projects currently on site. Mixing their responsibilities with site and office based duties.

You will benefit from working in a personable environment, with an experienced commercial team daily. Continuously developing your skill-set whilst managing elements of the commercial process independently over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates and budgets

• Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycles.

• Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.

• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.

• Measurement and valuation of works.

Qualifications:

• Construction related qualification (preferred not essential)

• Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel)

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative when necessary.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
