UPB are proud to be working in partnership with a respected privately-owned civil engineering contractor based in Sheffield, currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic SME contractor delivering projects ranging in value from £25,000 to £1.5 million across a variety of civil engineering sectors.

The Role

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you’ll gain hands-on experience across both commercial and pre-construction activities, supporting the team in all aspects of quantity surveying and estimating duties.

You’ll assist with:

• Preparing cost estimates and tender submissions

• Managing subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Supporting the measurement and valuation of works

• Assisting with project cost control and reporting

About You

• Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or Estimating role

• A relevant qualification (HNC, degree, or similar) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

• Enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach
